Federallawprohibitsthefollowingactsorthecausingthereof:(1)theremovalorrenderinginoperativebyanypersonotherthanforpurposesofmaintenance,re-pair,orreplacement,ofanydeviceorelementofdesignincorporatedintoanynewvehicleforthepurposeofnoisecontrolpriortoitssaleordeliverytotheultimatepurchaserorwhileitisinuse,or(2)theuseofthevehicleaftersuchdeviceorelementofdesignhasbeenremovedorrenderedinoperativebyanyperson.Amongthoseactspresumedtoconstitutetamperingaretheactslistedbelow:*ReplacementoftheoriginalexhaustsystemormufflerwithacomponentnotincompliancewithFederalregulations.*Removalofthemuffler(s)oranyinternalportionofthemuffler(s).*Removaloftheairboxorairboxcover.*Modificationstothemuffler(s)orairintakesystembycutting,drilling,orothermeansifsuchmodificationsresultinincreasednoiselevels.TamperingWithNoiseControlSystemProhibited
